This is what the Shyeld popup would look like when you click its toolbar button. Try Scan my extensions.
Which extensions can read your AI chats and webmail?
Shyeld checks every extension in this browser, scores the risk in plain English, and flags the ones that can read ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Gmail.
Chrome will ask you to allow one permission first. Your extension list stays on this device.
Chrome dialog (mock)
"Shyeld" requests additional permissions
It can:
- Manage your apps, extensions, and themes
Why: listing your other extensions needs Chrome's management permission. Shyeld asks for it only when you click Scan, never at install.
No problem.
Shyeld can't list your extensions without that permission. You can still use the connected-app map, and you can scan any time later.
Scanning on this device…
- Reading your installed extensions
- Checking them against the downloaded risk list, locally
- Looking for access to AI chat sites and webmail
- Scoring and explaining each one
