Privacy policy
Privacy policy
Last updated October 8, 2026
This policy covers the Shyeld website and waitlist at shyeld.app. Shyeld itself (the browser extension) isn't available yet; it will get its own privacy policy before launch.
The short version
- If you join the waitlist, we keep your email, the plan you picked, which button or section you signed up from, and when.
- We count button clicks anonymously. Those counts contain no email, IP address, or anything else that identifies you.
- No cookies, no analytics trackers, no ads, no third-party scripts.
- We use your email only to tell you about Shyeld's launch and the founding pre-sale. We never sell it.
- Ask us to delete it at any time: privacy@shyeld.app.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist
- Your email address (stored in lowercase).
- The plan you'd most likely choose (for example "Plus yearly" or "Not sure yet").
- Where on the page you signed up from, as a short label such as "hero", "nav", or "pricing". Not the full web address and not where you came from before our site.
- The date and time you signed up.
We don't store your IP address, browser details, location, or any other information about your device with your signup. If you sign up twice with the same email, we keep the first signup only.
When you click a plan or "Join the waitlist" button
We record an anonymous count: the kind of click (for example "plan click"), the plan, the page section, and the hour it happened (rounded down, so a click can't be matched to a signup by its exact time). These records contain no email, IP address, cookie, or other identifier, so they aren't linked to you or to your signup. We use them to see which plans people are most interested in.
What we don't collect
The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. We don't use Google Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, advertising pixels, social media widgets, external fonts, or any other third-party script.
Where your data is stored
The site runs on Cloudflare Workers, and waitlist signups and click counts are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database in our Cloudflare account. Cloudflare acts as our service provider. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We don't copy those details into our database. Cloudflare may process data in countries other than yours.
How we use it
- To email you about Shyeld's launch, early access, and the founding-year pre-sale.
- To understand demand for each plan, in aggregate.
That's all. We don't sell, rent, or trade your email, and we don't share it with anyone except the service providers needed to run the waitlist. We won't use it for unrelated marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist signup until you ask us to remove you, or until we close the waitlist. If we decide not to launch Shyeld, we'll delete the waitlist. Anonymous click counts may be kept longer, because they contain no personal data.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete your waitlist data, or to stop emailing you, at any time. Email privacy@shyeld.app from the address you signed up with, and we'll act on it promptly. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, or California), you may have additional legal rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The waitlist is not intended for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. The waitlist accepts requests only from our own site, checks every field, and stores only the fields listed above. Access to the database is limited to our Cloudflare account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use your email, we'll tell waitlist members before it takes effect.
